One of the great challenges of sports writing is that so much of the content has an expiry date. If you’re into writing about food, you can get away with writing a single recipe for chili. People will be interested in that sort of content both today and in 10 years. Generally speaking, that’s not the case with, say, Minnesota Vikings score updates or injury news. Nevertheless, there are some older pieces on Purple PTSD that may of interest to folks.

For this exercise, I merely perused some of the headlines from this past month. I found several pieces that (though somewhat dated) are still quite relevant to where the Vikings are at. The hyperlink is included in the titles and they ought to open in a new tab. Enjoy the reading.

  7. 11/23/2021 – “Ironman” Dennis Ryan – Vikings Equipment Manager – Earns Game Ball: It’s good to see under-the-radar employees get recognition.
  8. 11/24/2021 – Justin Jefferson Has Eliminated His Final Criticism: He is already better than Stefon Diggs.

  19. 12/03/2021 – Eric Kendricks is an All Pro, Right?: He has been a step slower this season. Nevertheless, he’s still sensational.
  20. 12/04/2021 – Pump The Brakes on The Kirk Cousins Trade Chatter: Forced to choose at this precise moment, I’d bet he gets extended. Doing so would get two birds stoned at once insofar as it secures the QB position and alleviates the aforementioned financial stress.
