Sizzlin’ Sam and I have enjoyed some great podcast interviews lately, such as those with Arif Hasan and Jeremy Reisman. More recently, we keep things simple by bringing things down to just the two of us. On the latest episode of Notes from the North – a Vikings podcast – Sizzlin’ Sam and I venture into the PFF mock draft simulator.
Take a peak at what Sizzlin’ Sam has to say: “Kyle and Sam are back with a combination of several topics. They discuss the latest Vikings news, taking away the key points of the press conference with O’Connell and Adofo-Mensah. They then move into 3 short mock drafts to see different outcomes that could happen, before finishing off with some hockey talk and giving their playoff predictions.”
To kick things off, we spend a few minutes recapping what we learned in the recent press conference featuring Kwesi Adofo-Mensah and Kevin O’Connell. Perhaps the main takeaway rested in the Dalvin Cook chatter and belief about the merits of adding a young passer.
We then jump into the PFF mock draft simulator to see about trading down. It’s no secret that Adofo-Mensah has a reputation for being a GM who likes to pull off deals. There’s ample evidence to support the belief. We rolled through a trio of mocks, adjusting the randomness in each one to see what could transpire once we got onto the clock at #23 with the ultimate goal of trading back. The final one – with maximum randomness – certainly delivered.
In an expected move, noted Leafs fan Sizzlin’ Sam rolls with the Leafs to win Lord Stanley’s cup. He thinks they’ll take down the Stars in the finals. I’m choosing the Oilers to ovecome the Devils.
