Vikings Podcast: Talking Lions with Jeremy Reisman

The Detroit Lions are an ascending team. Depending on who you ask, the Lions are even favored to win the NFC North in the 2023 season.

On the latest episode of Notes from the North – a humble Vikings podcast – Sizzlin’ Sam and I are joined by Jeremy Reisman of Pride of Detroit. He offers some great insight on the suddenly competent Lions.

To kick things off, we toss out six quick-hitter statements to see if Reisman agrees or disagrees. The opening trio are about the NFC North more broadly and the final trio are more Lions specific.

We go on to take some time to consider some of Detroit’s free agent additions. More than a few Vikings fans were discouraged to see Cameron Sutton head to Michigan. The former Steelers corner has a connection to Brian Flores and yet he opted for the Lions. Combined with C.J. Gardner-Johnson and Emmanuel Moseley, Sutton will look to lead Detroit to a better 2023.

Toward the end, we get some draft predictions for the Lions, a team with a massive amount of draft capital. Will they opt for a QB in the top 10? Give the episode a listen to see what Reisman thinks.
