The View from VT: February 28th, 2026

1) Vikings Announce Leadership Changes: Been an ongoing process, eh? Lots of coaching subtractions due to plenty of promotions (alongside some other departures). The Vikings are now moving ahead with the adjusted leadership crew.

2) Kwesi Adofo-Mensah Has New a Job: On a personal level, I am cheering for Mr. Adofo-Mensah. He’s a smart, hard-working guy who is going to end up being very successful in the NFL. Look for him to accomplish good things while working with the 49ers.

3) Vikings Coach Pulls a U-Turn: Not too often has Kevin O’Connell seen his coaches stick around. The opposite has been a more common outcome in recent weeks. Surely, Coach O’Connell is happy with the ability to keep a trusted coach in the Twin Cities.

4) A Pair of Vikings Make the Cut as NFL Free Agency Awaits: Not too much talent is scheduled to be heading out the door. The top players who could depart are receiver Jalen Nailor alongside linebacker Eric Wilson. The veteran defender is more likely to return, but that remains to be seen.

5) The Vikings’ QB Plan and the Roadblock Being Built: Soon, the NFL is going to participate in a feeding frenzy. Most important will be the passer talent. Free agent Malik Willis looks likely to land meaty money. Can the Vikings nevertheless make a bid for someone who is excellent?
