Vikings Territory works in partnership with PurplePTSD, similarly doing their utmost to put forth excellent Minnesota Vikings content. As a result, we promote what they have to offer in “The View from VT,” a weekly piece. Take a look at five of their articles from the past week.

The View from VT: October 18th, 2025

1) Vikings Drop Fantastic Offensive Line Update: Someday, the prophesied offensive line is going to become a reality. Until then, there must simply be some optimism that emanates from these updates. Seeing three of the planned starters — Christian Darrisaw, Donovan Jackson, and Will Fries — out there on Sunday is to be expected. What about Brian O’Neill?

2) 3 Vikings Players Most Likely to be Traded: Truth be told, predicting who could get traded away is often a difficult task. Not too many guessed that CB Mekhi Blackmon would be involved in a swap; one might arrive at a similar conclusion for Harrison Phillips. Safe to say, though, that GM Kwesi Adofo-Mensah isn’t afraid of bold, unexpected decisions.

3) Wes Phillips Pounds the Table for Unlikely Viking: Hard not to like Coach Phillips. He’s dry but also quite charming. He has long been a fan of Blake Brandel, complimenting the depth lineman for being huge, for being someone who works hard, and for offering sturdy play. No surprise to hear that Wes Phillips stepped away impressed.

4) The Almighty Vikings Trade Big Board for 2025: Would be quite the surprise if there was zero trading coming out of Eagan ahead of the November deadline. After all, we’re talking about Adofo-Mensah, a GM who has constructed 34 trades since being hired in 2022. Whether Minnesota buys, sells, or blends both is what’s fascinating.

5) NFL Network Drops Awkward J.J. McCarthy Injury Update: The relentless speculation has grown tiresome. Par for the course, however, when a team ventures into the bye with a highly-picked passer working back from injury while a veteran has (mostly) been playing well.
