The Minnesota Vikings made a total of seven selections during the 2024 NFL Draft.

So far, four of those Vikings draft picks have signed rookie contracts, thus solidifying their status as Vikings for the summer and potentially years to come. However, three of the selections remain unsigned.

QB J.J. McCarthy (R1, P10)

The Vikings made history by selecting J.J. McCarthy with the 10th overall pick in the draft. The Michigan product became the highest selected quarterback in Vikings franchise history, and hopefully, he can grow into the new franchise QB for Minnesota at the NFL level.

Sportico projects that McCarthy’s deal with the Vikings will be worth a grand total of $21.9 million over his four seasons, including a signing bonus of $12.7 million.

OLB Dallas Turner (R1, P17)

The other Vikings first-round pick remains unsigned as well. OLB Dallas Turner was selected by Minnesota with the 17th overall pick after the Vikings traded up from No. 23 with the Jacksonville Jaguars. In return, the Vikings sent Jacksonville Nos. 23 and 167 as well as their 2025 third-round pick and 2025 fourth-round pick.

It’s a high price to pay, but Turner is an extremely talented defender with the chance to be a cornerstone for the Vikings on that side of the ball. Turner remains unsigned, but Sportico projects his contract will be worth $15.8 million with a signing bonus of $8.3 million.

To ease any concerns of Vikings fans regarding both McCarthy and Turner being unsigned, only 12 first-round picks have been signed to this point, including only eight in the first 16 picks. The deals will get done.

CB Khyree Jackson (R4, P108)

After the Turner selection, the Vikings waited nearly 100 picks before making their next selection, which was CB Khyree Jackson. The cornerback has had a very interesting road to the NFL, but now, the rookie is hoping to make an impact in the Vikings’ secondary this season.

Jackson is still unsigned at this point, but the 25-year-old is projected by Over the Cap to receive a $4.8 million contract over four years with a signing bonus of $827,140.
