The 2024 NFL Draft is officially in the books.

It was an eventful one for the Minnesota Vikings, which included seven total selections, including a hopeful quarterback of the future. Here is a look at every member of the 2024 Minnesota Vikings draft class.

R1, P10: QB J.J. McCarthy, Michigan

In what may go down as the most impactful draft move of Kwesi Adofo-Mensah’s career, the Vikings sent Nos. 11, 129, and 157 to the New York Jets in exchange for Nos. 10 and 203. With that 10th overall pick, Minnesota selected QB J.J. McCarthy, and hopefully, the Michigan Man can become the new franchise quarterback in Minnesota.

R1, P17: EDGE Dallas Turner, Alabama

By virtue of not giving away the 23rd overall pick in a QB trade, the Vikings were able to swap picks with the Jacksonville Jaguars, sending Nos. 23 and 167 as well as a 2025 third-round pick and 2025 fourth-round pick for No. 17. With the 17th overall pick, Minnesota landed EDGE Dallas Turner to shore up their pass rush.

R4, P108: CB Khyree Jackson, Oregon

The Vikings waited nearly 100 picks to make their next selection, but they started the third day of the draft with a selection of CB Khyree Jackson. Minnesota has needed to bring in some more CBs who can handle press coverage, and at 6’3″, Jackson is plenty capable of it.

R6, P177: OT Walter Rouse, Oklahoma

Heading into the draft, the Vikings employed just three offensive tackles on their roster. It was a glaring need, and Minnesota found another depth option in Walter Rouse, who spent the 2023 season playing left tackle for the Oklahoma Sooners.

R6, P203: K Will Reichard, Alabama

The kicker position has been a cursed one in Minnesota throughout the franchise’s history, and the Vikings needed to bring in a new one with Greg Joseph heading to the Packers in free agency. Will Reichard has kicked in some of the biggest moments at the collegiate level, and now, he gets a chance to win the job in Minnesota.

R7, P230: C Michael Jurgens, Wake Forest

With their first of two seventh-round selections, the Vikings opted to get more offensive line help in Michael Jurgens. He spent the majority of his collegiate career playing center, but he kicked out to left guard during 2023. Minnesota needed more depth at both positions, so he should serve them well.

R7, P232: DL Levi Drake Rodriguez, Texas A&M-Commerce

And finally, Minnesota utilized their final draft selection to bring in a defensive tackle. Minnesota needs another pass rushing presence for that group regardless of their talent off the edge. Levi Drake Rodriguez is going to be a project, but there is a need for his style of play on the Vikings roster.
