The Minnesota Vikings made a total of seven selections during the 2024 NFL Draft.

Heading into Tuesday, four of those Vikings draft picks have signed rookie contracts, thus solidifying their status as Vikings for the summer and potentially years to come. On Tuesday evening, another rookie Viking officially signed his contract with the team.

That rookie is cornerback Khyree Jackson, who was selected with the 108th overall pick by the Vikings. The Vikings’ official social media account announced the signing. The team tweeted, “[Khyree Jackson] @Real_Khyree has inked his first NFL contract.”

Jackson was the third player to be selected by the Vikings this spring after they made J.J. McCarthy the highest selected QB in franchise history and made Dallas Turner their first edge rusher to be selected in the first round since 2005.

After the Turner selection, the Vikings waited nearly 100 picks before making their next selection, which was Jackson. The cornerback has had a very interesting road to the NFL, but now, the rookie is hoping to make an impact in the Vikings’ secondary this season.

Jackson bounced between the NJCAA level for a couple years before catching on at Alabama during the 2021 season. The cornerback spent two seasons with the Crimson Tide before he transferred to Oregon in 2023.

During his final collegiate season, Jackson put together 34 tackles, five tackles for loss, two sacks, seven passes defended, and three interceptions. His three interceptions ranked second in the PAC-12, coming in behind only Alex Johnson of UCLA, who recorded five.

With Jackson inking a deal, each of Minnesota’s picks from the third and final day of the draft have now reached an agreement with the team.

The only Vikings draft picks yet to sign their rookie contracts are their first-rounders: McCarthy and Turner.
