Vikings Snap Counts for Week 14 at Las Vegas
It was an ugly weekend for the Minnesota Vikings in Las Vegas, but hopefully, the mantra rings true that what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.
The Vikings managed to capture a 3-0 victory over the Raiders in Week 14 and improved their position in the NFC playoff race, pulling a game ahead of the chase pack. With the game now in the books, here is a look at the Vikings snap counts for their seventh win of the season.
Offense
- LT Christian Darrisaw (72)
- RG Blake Brandel (72)
- C Garrett Bradbury (72)
- LG Dalton Risner (70)
- WR Jordan Addison (69)
- TE T.J. Hockenson (67)
- QB Josh Dobbs (53)
- WR K.J. Osborn (51)
- RT David Quessenberry (42)
- RB Ty Chandler (40)
- WR Brandon Powell (36)
- RT Brian O’Neill (30)
- TE Josh Oliver (28)
- RB Alexander Mattison (23)
- QB Nick Mullens (19)
- WR Jalen Nailor (17)
- WR Justin Jefferson (13)
- FB C.J. Ham (8)
- TE Johnny Mundt (5)
- RB Kene Nwangwu (3)
- LG Austin Schlottmann (2)
Looking at this list, anyone could tell that it was a very strange weekend for the Vikings in Las Vegas. Only three players played every snap on offense, and there were 21 different players to take snaps with the offense.
Most notably, Justin Jefferson exited the game with a chest injury after playing just 13 snaps, and he would not return to the game. The Vikings also went into this game without Ed Ingram, who sat out with a hip injury. Then, Minnesota lost both Brian O’Neill and Dalton Risner to injuries as the game went on (but Risner did return after missing just a couple snaps).
And finally, Minnesota made their QB change during the fourth quarter. Nick Mullens played quarterback for the final two drives of the game after Josh Dobbs had another lackluster showing. Minnesota has now scored 33 total points in their past three games and need to figure some things out both in terms of health and productivity before next weekend’s game against the Bengals.

The Vikings defense has gone from pretty good, to very good, and now elite over the course of the season. If something is working, there isn’t much use in changing it up, and Brian Flores used that exact philosophy on Sunday.
Minnesota pitched a shutout in Las Vegas, and six players were on the field for every single defensive snap on Sunday, including the safety trio of Camryn Bynum, Josh Metellus, and Harrison Smith. A fun little tidbit was the fact that special teams ace NaJee Thompson also got his first career defensive snap on Sunday, so congrats to the young cornerback for that milestone.

There weren’t a ton of surprises from the Vikings special teams unit this week. Once again, Theo Jackson, Jay Ward, Brian Asamoah, and NaJee Thompson were amongst the leaders in snaps for the group. However, 2022 first-round pick Lewis Cine was inactive for the 12th time this season, marking off yet another healthy scratch for the season.
