Vikings Podcast: What’s Not to Like?

Yesterday morning, Sizzlin’ Sam and I returned to the mic to bring along another episode. On the latest episode of Notes from the North – a humble Vikings podcast – we briefly breakdown the main free agency moves for Minnesota.

Take a peak at what Sam had to say: “On this episode of Notes from the North, Kyle and Sam discuss the latest in Vikings news. They talk about the release of Thielen and his new contract, what to like about the moves so far, and then give some predictions about the team moving forward, including the future of one former Vikings player looking for a new contract.”

For a little while, we settle into a Davenport discussion. The talented edge rusher brings a lot of potential to the Vikings defense. The concern, of course, is that he has struggled to stay on the field. If all the stars align, though, then Minnesota will have an elite option to partner with Danielle Hunter.

Moreover, there is a few minutes of discussing Adam Thielen’s departure and signing in Carolina. It’s an odd fit, one that may flow from the Panthers offering the most money instead of the best chance to snag that elusive Super Bowl ring. The veteran receiver will mentor the Panthers’ young talent while helping the #1 pick – surely a QB – acclimate to life in the NFL.

Give the episode a listen to learn more about Byron Murphy, Duke Shelley, and a handful of other topics. Unfortunately, no talk about the Minnesota Wild and the goalie fight that never was. More hockey talk in the future!

Folks who are into Vikings podcasts or think they’d like to get into Vikings podcasts should feel free to give Notes from the North a shot. Hop over to iTunes, Spotify, or Podbean. My understanding is that you don’t need an account at these spots. Just press play and enjoy the pod.

Enjoy the listening, Vikings fan.
