The View from VT: A Closing Door, Superstar Retention, & Failed Mocks
Vikings Territory works in partnership with PurplePTSD, similarly doing their utmost to put forth excellent Minnesota Vikings content. As a result, we occasionally promote what they have to offer in “The View from VT,” a weekly piece. Take a look of five of their articles from the past week.
1) Suddenly, The Door Closes on a Vikings Trade Target: Devin White seems like a marvellous fit for Minnesota. Still young and yet experienced, the 5th overall pick in 2019 would fill a position of need and partner well with Brian Flores’ vision. Alas, it looks like Tampa Bay is holding on.
2) Vikings Keep Their Superstar in the Building Through 2024: A completely obvious decision that provided absolutely zero suspense, Justin Jefferson now has a 5th-year added onto his rookie deal. In all likelihood, #18 gets a sizable extension before taking the field in 2023.
3) Can the Vikings Pull Off the Unthinkable?: The prospect of pulling off a truly massive trade certainly has its merit. However, there is also great danger. Swinging for the fence means a higher chance of a strikeout (just ask anybody looking for more base stealing, bunting, and hit & runs in baseball).
4) Mel Kiper Locks in Vikings Draft Prediction, and It’s Wonderful: The wild thing is that the actual event featured all the stars aligning. The Vikings truly could have brought Kiper’s vision to fruition. Instead, they opted to supercharge their offense by adding Jordan Addison.
5) Peter King’s Final Mock Draft Stuns Vikings Fans: Had Mr. Richardson been there at 23rd, the Vikings may have pounced. However, the dream died at 4th overall when the Colts decided to bring in the ultra-talented young QB.
