While the Minnesota Vikings are riding high off two straight wins heading into their NFC North battle against the Green Bay Packers, things have not been going as smoothly for their rivals.

After a 2-1 start to the year, Green Bay is now on a three-game losing streak, including a 19-17 loss against the Denver Broncos in Week 7 following their bye.

As both teams hope to get back into the playoff hunt with a win this weekend, Green Bay may be navigating a few key injuries in Week 8. On Wednesday, the Packers placed a pair of defenders on IR (S Darnell Savage and CB Eric Stokes) while also listing three more players as DNPs on Wednesday’s injury report.

Here is a look at the full Wednesday injury report for the Packers ahead of Week 8:

  • RB Aaron Jones (Hamstring, DNP)
  • TE Luke Musgrave (Ankle, DNP)
  • C Josh Myers (Ankle, DNP)
  • CB Jaire Alexander (Back, Limited)
  • LB De’Vondre Campbell (Ankle, Limited)
  • LG Elgton Jenkins (Knee, Limited)
  • OT Josh Nijman (Knee, Limited)
  • DL Devonte Wyatt (Knee, Limited)
  • S Zayne Anderson (Hamstring, Full)
  • WR Christain Watson (Knee, Full)

Aaron Jones has been dealing with this hamstring injury for virtually the entire season. The 28-year-old RB has played in just three games so far this season, and while he did make a return to the field against Denver, he earned just 8 carries which went for 35 yards.

In his stead, A.J. Dillon has been the main workhorse in Green Bay’s backfield. This season has not been very productive for the former-second round pick, though. He has accrued 79 carries this season, but they have resulted in just 255 yards and a single touchdown.

Both Luke Musgrave and Josh Myers were DNPs as well and have been big contributors for Green Bay’s offense this season. The rookie tight end Musgrave has caught 22 passes for 189 yards over his first six NFL games while Myers has been a stalward in pass protection at the center position.

Some good news for Green Bay is that LB De’Vondre Campbell was listed as limited. He has not played for the Packers since their Week 3 win over the New Orleans Saints, and he has missed every practice since that game other than last Friday when he was also limited with his ankle injury.

The linebacker has been one of the best players at the position over the past few years particularly in pass coverage, and Green Bay will need him on the field to deal with the likes of T.J. Hockenson and Jordan Addison.

Green Bay will release two more injury reports this week on Thursday and Friday which should give a clearer idea of where they are at health-wise heading into Sunday’s matchup against the Vikings.

Kickoff between the two teams is scheduled for 12 PM Central at Lambeau Field on Sunday, October 29th.
