The Minnesota Vikings are coming off an emotional upset victory over the San Francisco 49ers on Monday night.

Now, they have to reset and prepare for an NFC North showdown against the Green Bay Packers on a short week.

Ahead of that game, the Vikings released their first injury report of the week, and while Wednesday was just a walkthrough (meaning the report is simply an estimate), T.J. Hockenson was listed as a DNP.

Here is a look at the Vikings full injury report for Wednesday:

  • LB Brian Asamoah (Ankle, DNP)
  • TE T.J. Hockenson (Foot, DNP)
  • LG Ezra Cleveland (Foot, Limited)
  • WR Jalen Nailor (Hamstring, Limited)

Hockenson missed a portion of Monday’s win with his injury and was in and out of the lineup throughout parts of the second half. Still, the tight end finished with one of the strongest statlines of his season, catching 11 passes for 86 yards.

So far this season, Hockenson has been one of Kirk Cousins’ favorite targets, especially since Justin Jefferson went on IR. Through seven games, he has totaled 47 receptions (ninth-most of any player in the league) for 390 yards and 2 TDs.

Meanwhile, Brian Asamoah was also estimated as a DNP for Wednesday as he continues to work through his ankle injury. The second-year linebacker has largely played with the special teams to begin the year because of the rejuvenated Jordan Hicks and emergence of undrafted rookie Ivan Pace. The linebacker has recorded 6 tackles to begin the year.

While the injury report is just an estimate, some good news for Minnesota is that LG Ezra Cleveland was listed as limited. He sat out on Monday because of his foot injury that was suffered in Week 6 against the Bears. Luckily, Dalton Risner stepped in and performed valiantly in his place.

Even if Cleveland is unable to play for a second consecutive week, Minnesota should be in a strong position with Risner on their offensive line. The unit as a whole played wonderfully against San Francisco, allowing zero sacks.

Jalen Nailor continues to be limited as well. The receiver has been on IR since the conclusion of Week 2, but he had his 21-day practice window opened last week. Nailor is yet to play any snaps with the offense, but perhaps he can get back on the field this weekend and begin to build on the strong conclusion to his rookie season and this summer’s training camp.

Minnesota will release two more injury reports this week on Thursday and Friday before their showdown against Green Bay on Sunday, October 29th. Kickoff is scheduled for 12 PM Central. For more on the upcoming matchup, head over to the weekly preview.
