According to The Athletic, the Chicago Bears are hiring Ryan Poles to be their new GM, meaning the Vikings won’t be getting him. It looks like they’ll hire Kwesi Adofo-Mensah.

Losing out on one of the team’s top GM candidates obviously stings, especially since it’s to a division rival. Poles will now be in charge of a Bears team with Justin Fields under center and some other notable young talent, such as Cole Kmet, Roquan Smith, and Jaylon Johnson.

The Vikings are therefore left with Kwesi Adofo-Mensah as the final candidate to get brought back for a second interview. The early rumor is that he will indeed be the hire.

The attention will then turn to hiring a tremendous head coach. Stay tuned, folks.
