Week 10 Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Pickups
Hitting the double digit mark in the NFL season is always a bit of a sobering moment. In just a couple weeks, it’ll be Thanksgiving, then Christmas, and before we know it, the NFL season will be over, leaving us with no more football to help us endure the last brutal months of winter. Sorry, was that intro a bit of a downer? Well, now that we’re all good and depressed, let’s talk about some guys to add to your fantasy football rosters that’ll cheer you up this weekend!
QB Matt Ryan (43.5%)
Since his week 2 game in Tampa Bay, Matt Ryan has quietly put together a fantastic 2021 season. Following that three interception game against the Bucs, he’s tossed 12 TDs compared to just three INTs in Atlanta’s last six games. Most recently, he had arguably his best performance of the year against New Orleans in a winning effort over the Saints.
This week, he gets a favorable matchup against a Dallas defense that, as predicted by many, has come down to earth now that the turnovers have regressed to the mean. The Cowboys just gave up 30 points to a Teddy Bridgewater-led Denver Broncos squad, so feel confident in trusting Matt Ryan against this group.
RB Mark Ingram II (24.9%)
The Saints brought Mark Ingram back to New Orleans ahead of their week 8 game against Tampa Bay. Since then, he’s had a bigger role in the offense than some may have anticipated. The veteran RB has totaled 22 touches in his first two games back in NOLA, including 14 against the Falcons. It’s not RB1 stuff by any means with Kamara in the backfield, but his role may continue to grow in the coming weeks.
The Saints found out over the course of a week that Michael Thomas was going to be out for the year, and fellow WR Deonte Harris may face a three-game suspension because of an offseason DWI charge. It’s uncertain if/when this suspension will become official, but if it does in the coming days, the already run-heavy Saints offense may rely on the backfield even further against Tennessee. It’s a favorable matchup too as the Titans have allowed 4.5 yards per carry this season.
TE Dan Arnold (20.5%)
The tight end market is as shallow as ever with Dawson Knox and Rob Gronkowski being banged up as well as the inconsistencies with Travis Kelce in Kansas City. Because of that, consider taking someone that has steadily proven week by week that he has a solid floor.
Dan Arnold was traded to Jacksonville from Arizona, and since then has seen his target share drastically increase. Over the past two weeks, the tight end has caught 12 of 17 targets for 128 yards. This week, he gets a nice matchup against an Indy defense that is giving up the seventh most fantasy points to TEs this season.
WR K.J. Osborn (8.9%)
The only predictable thing about Vikings vs. Chargers this week is that it should be a wild, unpredictable game. Because of that, it would make sense that some big plays from two of the more star-studded offenses are made by lesser names. K.J. Osborn is not on the same level as Justin Jefferson and Adam Thielen, but he certainly carved himself a role in the offense early in the season.
Over recent weeks, it has been a bit more famine than feast for the young pass catcher, but an exciting, high-flying matchup could be just what he needs to break through again. It was just three games ago where he caught six of seven targets for 78 yards and the game-winning TD in Carolina. With Dalvin Cook’s unfortunate ongoing legal situation, his availability this week may be in question, making this an opportunity for Osborn to recreate his heroic performance.
