Video: Stefon Diggs Has Some Incredible College Highlights

All the ingredients are there. The speed, precision, and competitive toughness. All of these attributes are on display in the Stefon Diggs college highlights.

In 2015, Minnesota chose Diggs 146th overall. By 2022, only a handful of players selected ahead of him are actually better. Take a peak at some of his highlights from his college days:

A little bit into the video, Stefon Diggs almost stumbles on his way to the endzone. He gets his hand on the ground, keeping his feet moving to avoid falling down. It brings back memories of the Minneapolis Miracle:

The 5th rounder was no sure thing to even make the team. He went on to give the franchise one of its all-time greatest moments. It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say it’s one of the best plays in NFL playoff history.

More recently, Stefon Diggs has been in the headlines because of his demands for a larger contract in Buffalo. Many Vikings fans felt like they were seeing a similar strategy, the one that got him traded out of Minnesota in exchange for a pile of picks (one of which turned into Justin Jefferson). In the end, Diggs got his money, so the Bills will be retaining their WR1.

As the draft approaches, there’s a lesson for NFL GMs. Questions about his size, speed, and toughness were all misguided. Evaluators would have been much better off focusing on the things Diggs does well, just as they also would have benefited from recognizing his work ethic and competitiveness.

In a matter of hours, the team went from having the best wide receiver in the sport, and one of the best offenses in the league, to a franchise that is looking to fill one of the biggest holes in any sport. Before the trade, the team added former Pro Bowler Juju Smith-Schuster on a one-year deal. While a nice addition at the time, it looks very different from the new expectation that Smith-Schuster needs to produce at a much higher level than originally planned.” uploaddate=”2022-04-12″ thumbnailurl=”undefined” contentUrl=”https://cdn.brid.tv/live/partners/17660/streaming/991328/991328.m3u8″ width=”16″ height=”9″]
