The NFL’s Facebook Account Accidentally Posted an Ad for Vikings/Patriots Super Bowl

Great. With the Super Bowl occurring in Minneapolis this year, there have been countless people claiming that the NFL will end up screwing the Vikings because they either want more time for US Bank Stadium to prepare for the festivities (which is a moot point now that the Vikes are traveling to Philly for the NFC Championship) or that the NFL (and city of Minneapolis) wants two teams from outside of Minnesota because of all the out-of-state money. While it’s complete nonsense to say that the league is rigged (The NFL is t organized to pull that off and keep it quiet), you’ll hear from some people that are dead serious that they now have the smoking gun that the league is rigged should the Vikings and Patriots end up as the Super Bowl matchup in Minneapolis this year. And it comes courtesy of the NFL’s Facebook page:

see what I said about the organization problems?  Now, it’s pretty obvious that their marketing department whipped up the different options for the game so they’d be able to immediately post this after the games end Sunday (similar to all those T-Shirts in third world countries that have the Falcons as last years Super Bowl champs), but it’s still pretty funny and gratifying as a Vikings fan as just seeing it made me get a bit teary-eyed.

I’ve always really gotten emotionally invested in the outcome of Vikings seasons and especially the previous times they’ve made it to the NFC Championship, but this year feels different. I really, really want this. So much so that I’m committing to getting a Vikings tattoo if they win the Super Bowl this year. I’m going to get one regardless, so it’s not that big of a deal, but instead of getting the logo I’d love to get one that says Super Bowl champs and from the look of the rigged NFL’s slip-up… it looks like they’ll at least make it to the game.
