Kirk Cousins needs a huge season, a season that lands the Vikings in the Super Bowl and him in the MVP conversation.

Anything less and whatever goes wrong with this team will be his fault.

Whether it truly is his fault or not, many will blame him.

He is the quarterback, the de facto leader. There always is a bullseye on him.

It’s bigger than ever now.

His refusal to get vaccinated against Covid-19 will be used against him when things go wrong, when the Vikings lose a game.

The pro-vaccine bunch will claim the locker room is fractured, that he is the cause of any rift.

Right or wrong, fingers will point at him, particularly middle fingers.

Cousins can’t win unless he wins … a lot of games. A helluva lot of games.
