Q: Give us your Top 5 likeliest players to end up with the Vikings in Round 1.

A: This is a fun one. Thank you for sending it in.

  1. Trent McDuffie
  2. Andrew Booth Jr.
  3. Derek Stingley Jr.
  4. Garrett Wilson
  5. Kyle Hamilton

We’ll even throw in five more, in order:

  1. Jermaine Johnson II
  2. Jameson Williams
  3. Jordan Davis
  4. Kaiir Elam
  5. Kayvon Thibodeaux

Q: We’ve talked a lot about one trade on Thursday, but what about multiple trades in the 1st Round for the Vikings?

A: Oh, yes, this is a vivid possibility.

The value-based general manager adding more 1st and 2nd-Round value? It adds up. We’ve been operating under the pretense Adofo-Mensah probably trades out of the 12th pick, but there is real potential for him to trade twice and thrice in Round 1 during his maiden general management voyage.

A flurry of trades is more likely than none, in our opinion.

Q: Do you see any scenario where the Vikings completely trade out of the 1st Round?

A: Yes, and Luke Braun talked about it on VikesNow.

Adofo-Mensah could easily leave you saddened with no 1st-Round picks by the end of Thursday, instead piling up Friday picks and 2023 selections. Call it leveraging the present to enhance the future.

Of course, this is only a theory that has a little bit of credence. In all likelihood, he will choose a 1st-Rounder because it’s abnormal to trade out of Round 1 entirely.

But don’t rule it out. It isn’t silly.
