Q: Were the Vikings fleeced with all these trades?

A: No, they were not.

If one exalts the old Jimmy Johnson draft-trade calculator, then, yes, the Vikings were shortsticked on Thursday night. Unsurprisingly, the analytics general manager prefers the analytical trade calculators, not relics. And those were kind to the Vikings trade packages.

Trading with NFC North foes rubbed Vikings fans the wrong way. That was really the only thing “wrong” with either trade.

The trades, in retrospect, come down to one eventual litmus test. If Jameson Williams for the Lions or Christian Watson from the Packers become total superstars — and torch the Vikings four times per year — the trades will be lamented forever.

If they do not, the Vikings are in pretty good shape with their draft-trade haul.

Q: Can any of the players selected so far start right away for the Vikings?

A: Of course.

Lewis Cine from Round 1 will probably start right away or at least split time with Camryn Bynum. Andrew Booth Jr. will receive a lot of playing time. Guards drafted in the 2nd Round, like Ed Ingram from LSU, better be ready to start.

And Brian Asamoah should be able to fill in for Eric Kendricks or Jordan Hicks if injuries occur.

All Vikings picks through Friday night are ready for real-time game snaps.

Q: Who do you predict as the Vikings first pick on Saturday?

A: Well, this one is tricky because we have to wait for 16 other picks on Saturday.

But let’s go with Kingsley Enagbare, an EDGE rusher from South Carolina. The Vikings have not yet drafted a pass rusher, and they might need one if something happens to Danielle Hunter or Za’Darius Smith.

ESPN’s Jordan Reid assigned Enagbare a Round-3 grade before the draft.
