Power Rankings: Week 6

  1. Kansas City Chiefs: The Chiefs are showing that they don’t have to score 49 to win, and their defense is looking better.
  2. L.A. Rams: The Rams have won very close games in back to back weeks, meaning that all-star defense isn’t so all-star, meaning that once the weather gets cold this team may be mortal.
  3. Carolina Panthers: Carolina just keeps winning, and they are making plays in all three phases of the game.
  4. Chicago Bears: The last time I saw this team Trubisky threw 6 touchdowns, so they are staying put.
  5. New England Patriots: The Patriots defense looks good, the offense looks good, and they have Belichick as the coach.
  6. Cincinnati Bengals: Down three possessions and they come back, scoring twice with the defense, which means this team is now the sole owner of the AFC North!
  7. Jacksonville Jaguars: Oh yeah Blake Bortles is their quarterback, so they’re a limited team.
  8. New Orleans Saints: I haven’t been impressed with the defense, but they played some good defense against the Redskins, so maybe they can return to dominance and give Drew Brees another ring to add to his legacy.
  9. Minnesota Vikings: I had this joke planned out about Tom Petty’s “Free Falling,” but they move up because their defense is capable of such great things.
  10. Philadelphia Eagles: This team isn’t as good as last year’s team, and because their fan base is the worst, SKOL VIKINGS SKOL! HAHA!
  11. Baltimore Ravens: Baltimore is still a great team, with a great defense, but they played a hungry Cleveland team that plays great defense and just couldn’t get it done.
  12. Pittsburgh Steelers: This offense could be as good as Kansas City or L.A., and their defense has some talent, so don’t count them out just yet.
  13. Green Bay Packers: The Packers should sign Daniel Carlson.
  14. L.A. Chargers: This team has so much potential, and should be a contending AFC team, but they find ways to mess things up every year.
  15. Denver Broncos: The Broncos had a bad game this week, but they had a bad day against a team you shouldn’t have bad days against.
  16. Houston Texans: When I think Houston is good they lose, and when I think they are bad they start winning, but anyway, Watson looks great again.
  17. Atlanta Falcons: They need this defense to show up, because they haven’t had success being an all offense team.
  18. Tennessee Titans: ANOTHER TEAM IS BESTED BY BUFFALO!
  19. Washington Redskins: This team is a rollercoaster of ups and downs, and that will result in 8 or 9 wins, but could that be enough to win the NFC East? Probably not.
  20. Miami Dolphins: The Dolphins should be called the magicians because they made a 2-game lead in the AFC East and a 17-point lead disappear before our very eyes.
  21. Dallas Cowboys: I think this team looks alright, but the NFL is now all about offensive playmakers, and the Cowboys have none.
  22. Cleveland Browns: Cleveland is undefeated in games where a possum gets into the stadium, so it’s only fair that they become the Cleveland Possums.
  23. Seattle Seahawks: The offensive line still stinks, and now the defense does too.
  24. Detroit Lions: This team got off to a slow start, but they have a plethora of playmakers and now, a run game.
  25. Indianapolis Colts: This team just doesn’t have enough talent to compete with elite teams.
  26. New York Giants: The offensive struggles are still there, as Odell had to throw a touchdown today.
  27. San Francisco 49ers: The season ended with Jimmy G’s injury, and the offensive struggles will persist.
  28. New York Jets: The Jets have a quarterback and should be excited for a lot of division titles once Brady leaves.
  29. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: This team made the NFL really exciting for 2 weeks, but now they will fade back to being bad.
  30. Oakland Raiders: At least that Chicago pick will be a top 10 pick.. oh wait they’re good now? Shucks.
  31. Buffalo Bills: Thank you for not going 1-15 and making me that much more embarrassed to be a Vikings fan.
  32. Arizona Cardinals: If the Bills didn’t win, I may have moved the Cards up a spot.
