On the heels of their “get right” game against the Detroit Lions last Sunday, the Vikings head to Los Angeles to take on the 5-8 Chargers in the next

I originally saw this as a win on the schedule. As the season has gone on, it has become a little more concerning. The Chargers are out of the playoffs and could go two different ways: mailing it in and setting their tee times or playing loosy goosy with nothin to lose. Hoping for the latter. But Rivers will fight to the end. It is going to be quite the battle.

This is not a trap game, Detroit had the scent of being a trap game. The Chargers, like Denver is a better team then their record shows. I expected them to have a much better year. But this game isn’t about the Chargers. This is about setting a tone for this year. We need to go in there and steam roll them this week. If we are in fact the team we believe we are, we have to win out. Shut out the noise and don’t worry about anything except the team lining up on the other side of the ball. It pays no dividends to start doing calculations on who wins what and where. Win out, it’s a six or seven game season to prove to the world, we are the team we think we are! Skol!

I like how you think Stone!
I did just say that I’d be happy (which is a lie, I’m never happy, I’m RELIEVED when they do what they’re supposed to do (supposed to is subjective, sure, but you know what I mean as I think we’re on similar wave lengths on this)) with any sort of win but it would be nice to go into the Packers game with a huge win over a team that bested them recently (and hopefully the Bears winning in Lambeau).
But, I just have a bad feeling about tomorrow. Should be a fun chat, though!
PS- thanks for joining again!

Yeah. I mean, I have people at the store that call me their Vikings guy (for betting purposes, I think) and I’ve said that I’m torn. I want to stick to my prediction on the show, but like you alluded to, the closer we get to this game the more afraid I am of tomorrow.
I think they’ll win, rationally. Thielen being back helps, but… Yeah. They’re a top 5 defense and have a good offense when they’re firing on all cylinders, so… Yeah. I’ll be happy with a win regardless of how it looks.
Although I could see the Bears beating the Packers but the Vikings just getting destroyed. I can almost feel it in my bones.

I feel your panic Joe, as long suffering Vikings fans we have lived it many times! I am making a leap of faith once again and trust in Zimmer that he has them ready to go! #19 will be back in the lineup, so pick your poison. Who you gonna double? Adam? Diggs? Kyle? ITV? You gonna put 8 in the box? And one thing we have not been good at this year is defensive touchdowns! Pick 6, force fumble scoop & score! We need to become ball hawks! If we can pressure Rivers he’s been known to get careless! Skol everybody!

I think UltraStrone should fly to L.A. and be permitted to give the pre-game fire up speech to the Vikings. Well said.
