The View from VT: Dream Trade, Officially Signed, and Adam Thielen Spills the QB Beans

Vikings Territory works in partnership with PurplePTSD, similarly doing their utmost to put forth excellent Minnesota Vikings content. As a result, we promote what they have to offer in “The View from VT,” a weekly piece. Take a look at five of their articles from the past week.
The View from VT: April 18th, 2026
1) The Vikings’ Dream Trade Scenario Takes a Tiny Step Forward: Keep that central word in mind — tiny. Tossing Dexter Lawrence into the mix would dramatically change things for that Brian Flores group. Quite possibly, the defense could rise from very good to elite.

2) Vikings Make it Official with their Stud Defender: Always feels better to have ink on paper, but this one wasn’t in doubt. Jalen Redmond is under contract for 2026. Long term, he’s going to demand good money — rightfully so — but he’s currently a major bargain.
3) Adam Thielen Could Have a New Job Soon: Coming back to Minnesota didn’t go particularly well. Nevertheless, Minnesota’s fans tend to be enthusiastic about Mr. Thielen. Seeing him take a step toward his next football gig makes sense.

4) Adam Thielen Spills the Beans on J.J. McCarthy: Every so often, NFL players offer a real opinion within all of the meaningless football lingo. The sense one gets is that players genuinely do believe in McCarthy. Include Thielen among them.
5) Per Kevin O’Connell, The Vikings’ Red Zone Specialist Got Stolen Away: Coach O’Connell didn’t want his trusted strategist to take off. The Vikings’ head coach will now need a new voice to offer guidance in the red zone. Whoever is doing so will need to maximize the threat that Kyler Murray (McCarthy?) offers.

Enjoy the extra reading, Vikings fans.
