Consider a Vikings mock draft that goes the entire seven rounds. After all, the real thing is going to arrive in a matter of hours.

To complete the mock, I leaned on the ESPN mock machine. Doing so meant being able to work from within a plausible fiction, a hypothetical to check out how the draft could unfold and how the Vikings could function from within the possible scenario created online. Check it out.

A Vikings Mock Draft — Going All 7 Rounds

1st Round — Trading Down

No. 18 <–> No. 21, No. 121, and a 2027 5th (Pittsburgh Steelers)

No. 21 — CB Avieon Terrell: Doing business with the Steelers meant adding a 4th in ’26 and a 5th in ’27. Minnesota still snags a strong, promising player. Adding a CB1 contender makes a ton of sense.

2nd Round — Linebacker Time

No. 49 — LB Jacob Rodriguez: He’s picking up frequent-flyer miles in these mocks. A touch smaller, Mr. Rodriguez is a worthy selection in the 2nd given what he demonstrated as a collegiate player.

3rd Round — A Perfect Outcome

No. 82 — WR De’Zhaun Stribling: A super fast receiver with size and nastiness when blocking would be perfect in the 3rd. Stribling is someone whom the Vikings have been researching.

No. 97 — C Logan Jones: There’s a need at center. Choosing a promising, athletic option fits a pattern in Minnesota. Could he overtake Blake Brandel in time for Week 1?

4th Round — A Threat Evaded

No. 121 — RB Emmett Johnson: The young runner told the Vikings that avoiding him would lead to a poor outcome. Well, the Vikings can avoid that doomsday scenario since they scoop him up.

5th Round — Depth at Edge Rusher

No. 163 — EDGE Trey Moore: Tossing a promising option into the EDGE4 job is a needed boost. A new pass rusher in the 5th, if only in the most general sense, makes a lot of sense for the roster. Both of Jonathan Greenard (28) and Andrew Van Ginkel (30) are a touch older. Moore is 23.

6th Round — Speed for KOC and Kyler

No. 196 — WR Malik Benson: Getting faster in the 6th is to be advised. Why not swing for an elite trait, such as crazy speed, toward the end of the event?

7th Round — Strong Finish

No. 234 — EDGE Mason Reiger: Again, there does need to be some added help at edge rusher. Opting for Mason Reiger late in the draft appears likely.

No. 235 — CB Lorenzo Styles Jr.: His brother — Sonny, a linebacker — is getting all the hype. Any chance Lorenzo ends up being a late-round prize?

No. 244 — S Louis Moore: He’s someone whom the Vikings have revealed interest in adding. Keep his name in mind for Day 3.
