The Vikings’ Depth Chart for All the NFC’s Marbles

For the most part, the Vikings’ depth chart is looking pretty similar to Week 1.

Sure, there have been some tweaks. Christian Darrisaw was lost for the year, necessitating the Cam Robinson move. Cam Akers overcame Ty Chandler to be the RB2 while Jalen Redmond is looking like the DT3 ahead of Jerry Tillery. Dalton Risner became the RG1 after getting healthy. Again, though, things have been pretty steady.

Maybe the main thing that’s different is simply the perception of this roster. Sam Darnold isn’t just the top quarterback, he’s playing like a true top quarterback. The skill has lived up to prophecies about being elite and the edge rushers are fantastic, which is to say nothing of the secondary offering strong play as the season has unfolded. Toss in some strong running, great stuff from the linebackers, and specialists who have (mostly) been solid. Do all of these parts of the roster coalesce in Week 18 for an unlikely tenth-straight victory, earning the conference’s top spot in the process?

Consider the team’s hierarchy before the game arrives tonight at 7:20 p.m. CT.
