Vikings Territory works in partnership with PurplePTSD, similarly doing their utmost to put forth excellent Minnesota Vikings content. As a result, we promote what they have to offer in “The View from VT,” a weekly piece. Take a look at five of their articles from the past week.

The View from VT: September 20th, 2025

1) The Bold Case for the Vikings to Sign You Know Who: As the prophecy foretold, Cam Akers has become a Viking yet again. Is the runner careening toward some sort of record? He has now been part of Minnesota for 2023, 2024, and 2025. In each instance, Akers was added after the season began due to depth concerns.

2) Jaguars Steal Vikings Defender: Part of the risk of moving a player down to the practice squad is that he’ll get scooped up by someone else. Jacksonville is the culprit, signing the depth safety to their 53-man roster. Doing so means joining forces with former Vikings such as Nick Mullens and Johnny Mundt.

3) Vikings Rule Out 3 Heavy Hitters for Falcons Game: To a certain extent, the injury updates for the Falcons game aren’t particularly important. But that Atlanta disaster still lingers in Minnesota, doesn’t it? Right now, the poor play alongside the injuries — both encapsulated in J.J. McCarthy — are the main stories for the Vikings.

4) Kirk Cousins Wiggles His Way Back into Vikings Discourse: The gift that keeps on giving? Or, perhaps, is Cousins closer to a monster in the horror movie, the being that refuses to die? Regardless, the QB situation in Minnesota has (predictably) led to a broader discussion within online football writing about a reunion.

5) Vikings Also Have a Big RB Injury: Tough development for Aaron Jones. A great leader who can basically do it all — run, catch, and block — will now need time on the IR. Jordan Mason has been tossed onto the top of the running back position. There’s then Mr. Akers — a savvy signing — alongside unproven (but promising) Zavier Scott.
