The View from VT: Unsigned Viking Gets Away, Name Jumps, and Old Friend Impresses

Vikings Territory works in partnership with PurplePTSD, similarly doing their utmost to put forth excellent Minnesota Vikings content. As a result, we promote what they have to offer in “The View from VT,” a weekly piece. Take a look at five of their articles from the past week.
The View from VT: July 26th, 2025
1) Unsigned Vikings Starter Signs with Saints: Jonathan Bullard is a great pro, someone who is akin to a third-line forward in hockey. He’s tough and physical. He competes hard and is selfless. Teams need players like Bullard, so it’s good to see him land a contract.

2) As a Whopping 40 Vikings Show Up for Training Camp, A Single Name Jumps Off the Page: There’s no replacing Christian Darrisaw. Yes, the team could weather the storm, performing well in his absence. The point remains, though, that he’s irreplaceable on an individual level.
3) An Old Friend of the Vikings Shows Up Again: Adam Thielen is still a cherished player in Minnesota. He is, after all, the hometown underdog who made it. Gotta love the story, right? Even better for Vikings fans is that the veteran happens to be impressed by what he’s seeing from a certain new passer in the Twin Cities.

4) Vikings Dealing with 2 Early Injuries at Camp: A perfect world would involve seeing the injury total at zero. The NFL, unfortunately, is seldom a place where perfection exists. The basic reality of just a pair of depth players being in the infirmary as July nears its ends is a positive outcome for a team with 91 players rostered.
5) Vikings Main Threat Just Took a Summer Gut Punch: Yes, I understand that Vikings fans want to see their team overcome the Lions (a team that’s no longer hapless). Gaining an edge, though, by seeing Detroit’s key players succumb to injury isn’t what anyone should want. Instead, the hope from fans should be for great health all around while still proving superior to a rival.

Enjoy the extra reading, Vikings fans.
