Vikings Territory works in partnership with PurplePTSD, similarly doing their utmost to put forth excellent Minnesota Vikings content. As a result, we promote what they have to offer in “The View from VT,” a weekly piece. Take a look at five of their articles from the past week.

The View from VT: September 27th, 2025

1) Vikings Quietly Sign New Running Back: Not too long ago, there was the move for Cam Akers, a savvy signing. Kwesi Adofo-Mensah has reached back into free agency to add yet another runner. Building a formidable ground game is crucial for a Vikings team that’s rolling with an unproven young fella alongside a veteran journeyman at quarterback.

2) Very Quietly, the Vikings Worked Out Yet Another Quarterback: The decision was to snag Desmond Ridder, someone who (conveniently) worked for Cincinnati prior to working for Minnesota. He’ll hang around the roster as the QB3 since McCarthy — though still on the 53 — isn’t dressing due to the ankle injury.

3) Big Time Defender Suddenly Available to the Vikings: Odd timing to see the accomplished, veteran safety get sent back into the open market of NFL free agency. And, to be sure, Brian Flores loves leaning on his safeties. Unless there’s an injury, a deal in Minnesota for another safety would nevertheless be strange.

4) Vikings Name their QB for Ireland Showdown: Not too much suspense with the decision. Mr. McCarthy has been ruled out, meaning that Carson Wentz is still the main man in Minnesota. Where do things go if Wentz doesn’t just keep winning, but noticeably improves along the way?

5) Former Viking Melts Down on Grand Stage: Being an NFL kicker must be a rollercoaster. The highs are high and the lows are low. Gotta have a short memory to thrive in that position. Wish the former Viking well as his career continues.
