Vikings Territory works in partnership with PurplePTSD, similarly doing their utmost to put forth excellent Minnesota Vikings content. As a result, we promote what they have to offer in “The View from VT,” a weekly piece. Take a look at five of their articles from the past week.

The View from VT: May 31st, 2025

1) Former Vikings QB Keeps Door Open: Sam Darnold isn’t burning any bridges. Why would he? The former journeyman resurrected his career in Minnesota, directly feeding into his ability to be free agency’s top passer. He landed a major deal to take over for the Seahawks.

2) Ivan Pace Jr. and the Storm Clouds Gathering Over Minnesota: Has Ivan Pace been too successful to keep around in Minnesota for the long term? The UDFA linebacker has taken expectations and blown them to smithereens (truly, the best thing to do with expectations). He therefore deserves a major raise; the issue is simply that Minnesota’s future cap space is already in short supply.

3) We Endorse 2 Trades for the Vikings: Going to be fascinating to see how Kwesi Adofo-Mensah manages this facet of the offseason. June will open things up for trading, but one wonders how aggressive the Vikings will be. There is some cap space and one could argue for adding another corner, but there are some issues with making a move, as well.

4) Vikings Confirm Some Hype as Prized Pickup Gets Starter Reps Early: Donovan Jackson keeps taking steps toward what’s feeling increasingly inevitable: a spot in the starting lineup for Week 1. Getting some early work alongside Ryan Kelly is a positive step for the young fella.

5) Former Vikings QB Plays Hard Ball: Odd, isn’t it, to see Kirk Cousins at the center of a quarterback kerfuffle? Better known for his “Dad persona” and being a team player, Cousins has finally decided to withhold his work as he looks for his next opportunity.
