The View from VT: Kellen Mond’s Disaster, Unthinkable Thielen, and KOC Confirming Buzz

Vikings Territory works in partnership with PurplePTSD, similarly doing their utmost to put forth excellent Minnesota Vikings content. As a result, we promote what they have to offer in “The View from VT,” a weekly piece. Take a look at five of their articles from the past week.

The View from VT: May 10th, 2025

1) Disaster Strikes for Kellen Mond: Really tough pro career so far for Mr. Mond. Hard to envision a scenario where Minnesota’s former 3rd-Round selection finds his way back into the NFL. But, of course, stranger things have happened. Wish him well.

2) Adam Thielen Acknowledges the Unthinkable: Mr. Thielen has had a long, successful career, one that has defied the odds. Gotta tip the cap to the great pro. In a perfect world, Thielen would get the chance to chase a ring before it’s all said and done, a possibility that would mean leaving Carolina behind.

3) Once Again, Kevin O’Connell Confirms the Buzz Surrounding New Viking: The Vikings’ top coach hasn’t been shy about articulating how he envisions the o-line competition going. In an ideal world, Donovan Jackson quickly climbs the depth chart, starting the opening game as the new LG1.

4) Popular Vikings WR Evidently a Trade Candidate: Neither likely nor unlikely; something that could happen but isn’t destined to happen. The thinking is simply that Jalen Nailor is in the final year of his rookie deal and the team’s GM isn’t going to be spending top dollar on a WR3 in the offseason. Get some value now with a trade?

5) Vikings Named Landing Spot for Top Free Agent: Kwesi Adofo-Mensah has just captained the Vikings ship through the busiest period of the offseason, completing free agency (mostly) and the 2025 NFL Draft. However, he’ll still be keeping an eye on available talent to determine whether making another addition (or two) will help the Vikings to compete.
