The View from VT: Jefferson’s QB Endorsement, Former Viking, and Goodbye Passer

Vikings Territory works in partnership with PurplePTSD, similarly doing their utmost to put forth excellent Minnesota Vikings content. As a result, we promote what they have to offer in “The View from VT,” a weekly piece. Take a look at five of their articles from the past week.
The View from VT: October 11th, 2025
1) Justin Jefferson Loudly Endorses a QB1 for Vikings: In all likelihood, Minnesota isn’t consulting the WR1 about who should slot into the QB1 job. There is, nevertheless, a high likelihood that the Vikings’ top decision makers assess passers based (at least partially) on their ability to feed the top pass catcher.

2) Former Vikings QB Dropped after Stunner Trade: Something needed to be done in Cincinnati. The decision to bring in Joe Flacco still leaves some room for skepticism. Perhaps the veteran can do well with those talented receivers. In the meantime, the former Viking will search for his next gig.
3) The Vikings Appear Likely to Say Goodbye to a QB Very Soon: The prophecy ended up being fulfilled faster than expected. Moving on from the depth passer is bad news for Desmond Ridder on a personal level. For the Vikings more broadly, the move is good news since the suggestion is J.J. McCarthy is close to a return.

4) Lewis Cine May Be Back in the Mix: Been a tough journey for the 1st-Round safety. Getting snagged so high meant huge expectations followed. And while he has a ton of physical ability, Cine hasn’t been able to find a lasting home with an NFL team. He’s still quite young.
5) Vikings Might be Unrecognizable in 11 Days: Getting healthy would be a major boost for these Vikings. Simply re-inserting Blake Cashman into the defense would be a huge boost. What happens if others — Andrew Van Ginkel, Donovan Jackson, Brian O’Neill, J.J. McCarthy, and so on — also get back out there? Can the Vikings put together a win streak?

Enjoy the extra reading, Vikings fans.
