The 2026 Vikings Schedule (Mostly) Comes to Light

At present, the 2026 Vikings schedule doesn’t appear super important for most Minnesotans. If, however, the losing continues, then next year becomes pretty appealing since all hope will be parked there.
In the NFL, success is always the goal. The only factor that changes is when. Accordingly, the Vikings may begin shifting the focus away from pushing for the postseason in 2025 and toward pushing for the postseason in 2026. But even if things get turned around in the present moment, what’s to come is still important for the Vikings.
The 2026 Vikings Schedule is (Mostly) in Place
Credit to Craig Peters of the team website. He relays what is known of Minnesota’s upcoming cluster of games.
Kick it off with some insight on the games taking place at U.S. Bank Stadium: “Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers of the NFC North; Atlanta Falcons and Carolina Panthers of the NFC South; Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins of the AFC East; the NFC East and AFC South teams that finish in the same place in their division as the Vikings finish in the NFC North.”

On the other side of things is the road games.
Again, hand the microphone over to Mr. Peters: “Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers of the NFC North; New Orleans Saints and Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the NFC South; New England Patriots and New York Jets of the AFC East; the NFC West team that finishes in the same place in its division as the Vikings finish in the NFC North.”
| Home Games in 2026 | Road Games in 2026 |
| Bears | Bears |
| Lions | Lions |
| Packers | Packers |
| Falcons | Saints |
| Panthers | Buccaneers |
| Bills | Patriots |
| Dolphins | Jets |
| NFC East Team | NFC West Team |
| AFC South Team |
So, much is known already. The 4-5 Vikings have seen fourteen games lock into place. There’s then a trio of mysteries that need solving. The only way to solve the enigma — apart from fortune telling — is to see the remainder of the season unfold.

If the current season ended today, the Minnesota Vikings would see games against the Arizona Cardinals, New York Giants, and Tennessee Titans sewn into the fabric of the future.
Next up on the current Vikings schedule is a game against Chicago. In a surprise to most, Ben Johnson is leading a team that’s sitting in a tie for first place in the North. The 6-3 Bears are rallying behind an ultra-talented Caleb Williams, a magician in shoulder pads who proved slippery back in Week 1.
Securing a win in Week 11 would keep Minnesota’s playoff hopes alive, as bleak as they are. Were that to occur, the 5-5 Vikings would enter the season’s final seven games with the mandate of securing what likely needs to be a minimum of five more victories to get into the final tournament.
Kickoff is scheduled for tomorrow at 12 p.m. CT.
