And again, let’s get into some Madden NFL 26 ratings predictions for our Vikings. You can check out the secondary predictions here, and the offensive skill positions here, because this time, we’re giving the attention to the big boys on the offensive side of the trenches, a unit that is 60% different from last season.

LT Christian Darrisaw – 91 OVR

Madden NFL 25 End-of-Season Rating: 92 OVR

Darrisaw began the Madden season last year with an overall rating of 91 OVR, and progressed to a 92OVR before a torn ACL kept him out for the year, and he stayed at a 92 for the rest of the season. EA Sports often will bump a player coming back from major injury down a point or two, so that’s what I foresee them doing here with the Vikings’ franchise left tackle.

I’d get used to seeing Christian Darrisaw be at least a 90 OVR in Madden for around the next decade.

LG Donovan Jackson – 74 OVR

The Vikings’ 2025 first-round selection will get the usual rookie treatment from Madden. Since he was a first-round pick and is a pretty sure thing, EA Sports will put him in the low-to-mid 70s range. For Jackson, I predict that to be a 74 OVR.

There aren’t many great guards in the NFL, so he could get a boost here just to be a usable guard in the game for the game’s other modes, specifically like doing a fantasy draft franchise, where every single NFL player is made a free agent and is drafted to a new squad in a draft similar to the structure of the real-life NFL Draft.

C Ryan Kelly – 82 OVR

Indianapolis Colts center Ryan Kelly (78) warms up on the field Sunday, Sept. 8, 2024, ahead of the game against the Houston Texans at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

Madden NFL 25 End-of-Season Rating: 83 OVR

Kelly actually began the Madden NFL 25 lifecycle at an 84 OVR, and after dealing with numerous injuries over the course of last season, he dropped and finished the year at an 83 OVR. I predict them to drop him just one more overall to an 82, but I wouldn’t be shocked if they dropped him further. His health does remain a question when thinking about the course of an entire season, and to be fair, he is a little past his prime.

His highest career Madden rating came with Madden NFL 22, where he achieved an 87 OVR upon the game’s release.

RG Will Fries – 82 OVR

Madden NFL 25 End-of-Season Rating: 78OVR

Will Fries is one of those guys that, for some reason, Madden never really truly jumped the rating of, even when he was deserving of it. I’m not saying they should’ve made the kid a 90 OVR or anything, but at least an 80 OVR rating in one out of the last two releases of the game would feel just.

I predict a big-time +4 to his rating to match his contract, which the Vikings signed him to a little bit better. This would mark Fries’ first time surpassing an 80 OVR. He was rated a 76 OVR in Madden NFL 24, and before that, he was rated a 58 OVR in the back-to-back years of Madden NFL 22 and 23.

Madden NFL 25 End-of-Season Rating: 86 OVR

I don’t believe there’s any need to raise or lower his rating here, so we’ll stick with an 86 OVR.

Brian O’Neill has been at least a 70 OVR since his Madden NFL series debut in Madden NFL 19. His career-low rating came in Madden NFL 20 with a 70 OVR, and his career-best came in consecutive years in Madden NFL 24 and 25 with an 86 OVR; making him an 86 OVR in Madden NFL 26 would mark three straight years of 86 OVR for the big man.
