Vikings Officially Announce Jersey Numbers for 45 Players
Throughout this offseason, the Minnesota Vikings have added 39 new names to their roster.
However, for many of these players, it was unclear exactly which jersey numbers they would be wearing this upcoming season. That is, until Tuesday afternoon when the Vikings announced the jersey numbers for 45 players (the 39 newcomers as well as six changes from the carryover players). Here is a look at each of them.

There will be a No. 33 in the Minnesota Vikings backfield once again in 2024. After Dalvin Cook wore that number for so many years, it now comes back to the RB room as Aaron Jones, the former Green Bay Packer, will wear it in 2024.

Of course, J.J. McCarthy and Dallas Turner are keeping their same collegiate numbers after being selected in the first round by the Vikings. It was the first time that Minnesota made a pair of top 20 selections since 2005, and the team allowed these picks to keep their original numbers.

The Vikings added a grand total of 17 undrafted free agents following the NFL Draft. Favorites to make the team include Gabriel Murphy, who will wear No. 59, as well as Bo Richter, who is taking on D.J. Wonnum’s old No. 98 jersey.

New as of 2023, the No. 0 jersey will be donned by Ivan Pace this season after he broke out as an undrafted free agent last year. Meanwhile, WR Trishton Jackson will be wearing Kirk Cousins’ old number after changing from No. 9 so as to allow McCarthy to take it.
