The Vikings’ Depth Chart as Double-Digit Wins Become a Possibility
During the offseason, NFL prophets and prognosticators took a peek at the Vikings’ depth chart before offering a definitive verdict: meh.
Fast forward into Week 13 of the 2024 season and the Vikings are sitting at 9-2. Were it not for a juggernaut over in Detroit, Minnesota would be getting a lot more attention for their excellence. True, this roster feels unlikely to go all the way, but the record is elite. Basically any team at any time would be thrilled to have 9 wins alongside only 2 losses at this stage of the season.
Standing in their way of win #10 is the Arizona Cardinals, a team being led by Kyler Murray and new WR1 Marvin Harrison Jr. Neutralizing that connection while finding a way to slow down James Conner will go a long way in pushing the win streak up to five in a row. Oh, and some continued excellence from Sam Darnold — complete with some tip-top ball security — will be similarly vital.
