The Vikings’ Depth Chart Ahead of the 2024 NFL Draft

NFL teams — even a spot like Minnesota where trades are plentiful — pursue two primary paths for adding talent: free agency and the draft. The Vikings’ depth chart is showing the signs of a robust foray into free agency while also showing the absence of a fresh draft class.

By the end of the week, the latter half of that sentence is going to change. The Minnesota Vikings currently own nine picks, draft selections that will soon be put to good use in the effort to overcome last year’s mediocrity in favor of future prosperity.

Of course, most people are wondering about a potential shake up within the quarterback hierarchy. But that’s not all that’s in front of Minnesota. The offensive line and defensive line need more help. So, too, would some greater competition at edge rusher, wide receiver, linebacker, kicker, tight end, and even running back be helpful.

With those basic ideas in mind, consider the team’s depth chart with the draft mere days away. The incoming batch of rookies — both drafted and undrafted — is going to make things look very different by next Sunday.
