Vikings Announce 2024 Preseason Schedule

On Wednesday night, the Minnesota Vikings and the rest of the NFL revealed their schedules for the 2024 regular season.
Shortly after the regular season schedule came out, though, Minnesota also decided to announce their full preseason schedule for 2024. The Vikings tweeted out their three exhibitions games late on Wednesday.
Vikings Announce Preseason Schedule

Week 1 vs. Las Vegas Raiders
Minnesota’s preseason opener is against a team that is becoming a bit of a regular for the Vikings in August. The Las Vegas Raiders are back on the preseason schedule after Minnesota also matched up with them prior to the 2022 season. The Raiders won that game by a score of 26-20.
This time around, though, both sides enter the summer with questions at the quarterback position. Aidan O’Connell and Gardner Minshew are duking it out in Las Vegas while in a similar fashion, rookie J.J. McCarthy and Sam Darnold will be competing for the starting job in Minnesota. Perhaps this preseason opener can be the game to allow a QB on both sides to pull away in the race.

Week 2 @ Cleveland Browns
Over the past few years, the Vikings have seen a number of veteran players decide to head to Cleveland. This preseason game against the Browns will see Minnesota play against names like Jordan Hicks, Za’Darius Smith, and Dalvin Tomlinson.
Week 3 @ Philadelphia Eagles
The Vikings have faced off with the Philadelphia Eagles in each of the past two regular seasons (each game coming during Week 2) and have lost both of them. Minnesota doesn’t have a regular season game against Philadelphia this year, but they will still meet with the Eagles in the final week of preseason play.

Through Kevin O’Connell’s first two seasons as head coach of the Vikings, he is still winless during preseason play, going 0-6 in the exhibition games. We’ll see if that changes when August rolls around.

Reports Suggest the Vikings Will Start 2024 with a Revenge Game
