The Complete Vikings 53-Man Roster Projection

NFL: Minnesota Vikings Training Camp
Brad Rempel-USA TODAY Sports

At long last, a complete Vikings 53-man roster projection. And not a moment too soon. Rookies report to training camp today and the veterans are soon to follow.

Vikings football, in short, is right around the corner.

Included below is the culmination of several weeks of work. The past little while at PurplePTSD has featured a position-by-position breakdown of the roster while making an educated guess along the way for who is going to be kept. Consider the names below as one shot at how the 53-man roster could look, but keep in mind that I’ll be adjusting the final projection once new evidence gets gleaned from training camp and the preseason.

* The assumption is that T.J. Hockenson won’t be available to start the season due to his injury recovery.
** If the Vikings needed a backup center to jump in, Dan Feeney would get the call. He’s depth at both guard and center.
*** Khyree Jackson was originally in my roster projection, but he has passed away in a tragic car accident.

Before training camp arrives, I’ll be doing a position-by-position roster projection in an effort to understand what the final 53-man roster could look like. Once training camp and the preseason unfold, we can swing back around to the projections to see about any adjustments. Entries: Quarterback, Running Back, Tight End, Wide Receiver, Offensive Line (Complete Offense), Defensive Line, Edge Rusher, Linebacker, Corner, Safety (Complete Defense), and Special Teams.
