Vikings Territory works in partnership with PurplePTSD, similarly doing their utmost to put forth excellent Minnesota Vikings content. As a result, we promote what they have to offer in “The View from VT,” a weekly piece. Take a look at five of their articles from the past week.

The View from VT: June 22nd, 2024

1) Vikings Have a Frontrunner for WR3: Brandon Powell. Mr. Powell should be looked at as the clear favorite. The dude is a good football player who has overcome a ton and who offers good versatility. Not only will he be the WR3, Powell is going to do a pretty good job with the role.

2) Another Record-Breaking Contract Likely on the Horizon for Vikings: Possible, but not a guarantee. Kwesi Adofo-Mensah can be a bit of a penny-pincher. The man likes to get value whenever possible even as he understands that retaining his top-tier players is of the utmost importance. Look for him to try to thread the purple needle.

3) Former Viking Quietly Joined Falcons: Corner Harrison Hand has bounced around the NFL quite a bit since getting drafted by the Vikings. The opportunity in Atlanta is a good one. With Kirk Cousins at the helm, Hand is joining a team that many expect to do well in the NFC South. Hopefully, he’s able to snag a spot on the final roster.

4) Vikings Sign Former Oklahoma Standout: Minnesota is making a bet on young talent at a position of need. Any incoming DT is going to need to show himself capable of being able to either be sturdy against the run or get penetration on passing downs. Being able to do both will lead to a long career in the NFL.

5) Former Viking Released by Packers: The division rivals know each other well, so maybe it shouldn’t be too surprising that so many players end up getting shared between the two teams. The latest news involves a former Vikings kicker being trimmed from the GB roster.
