The View from VT: Vikings Guilty of a “Worst Signing,” Weird Trade, and QB Solution
Vikings Territory works in partnership with PurplePTSD, similarly doing their utmost to put forth excellent Minnesota Vikings content. As a result, we promote what they have to offer in “The View from VT,” a weekly piece. Take a look at five of their articles from the past week.
The View from VT: April 20th, 2024
1) Vikings Made a “Worst Signing” of 2024 Offseason: In a lot of ways, I understand the critique. The versatile offensive lineman isn’t well known beyond Minnesota’s borders, so the beefy commitment raised some eyebrows. Even still, this looks like a forward-thinking deal from the team’s GM.
2) ESPN Claims Vikings May Have Weird Trade Brewing: What’s not being debated is whether the Vikings will look into trading. The cat is out of the bag: Kwesi Adofo-Mensah likes to trade. The intrigue at this stage is what those deals will look like once it’s time to finally get swaps across the finish line.
3) Former QB Claims Vikings Already Have QB of the Future In-House: Think Sam Darnold is going to flourish? If so, you’re not alone. There are some around the NFL who believe that the still-young, former-high-pick Darnold is going to resurrect his career in Minnesota.
4) Mel Kiper Confirms His Vikings Draft Choice: Kiper is a well-respected voice within the draft community, so his opinion is certainly one that’s worth taking seriously. At the end of the day, though, we’re all staring down some uncertainty.
5) NFL’s Most Accurate Mock Drafter Predicts Vikings Pick: Similar idea to the previous blurb. But, to be sure, part of the fun going into the NFL Draft is the uncertainty. The inability to make ironclad predictions is what drives a lot of interest, speculation, and hope.
