Vikings Territory works in partnership with PurplePTSD, similarly doing their utmost to put forth excellent Minnesota Vikings content. As a result, we promote what they have to offer in “The View from VT,” a weekly piece. Take a look at five of their articles from the past week.

The View from VT: January 6th, 2024

1) Vikings Add Old Friend to Practice Squad: One wonders if the addition of the young linebacker was about giving the team the inside track for keeping him around Minnesota during the offseason. The Vikings need to overhaul their front seven during the offseason, so bringing Abraham Beauplan to town makes some sense. Is there untapped potential?

2) With the Rumor Proving True, Vikings Face Grim Reality Going into Week 17: The team was already down Marcus Davenport and Luiji Vilain had already been snatched off of the Vikings’ practice squad. Losing D.J. Wonnum thus meant that the team ventured into dangerously-thin territory at edge rusher. Anthony Barr may be leaned on to put in some more snaps at the position in Week 18.

3) Cross One QB Off the List for 2024 Vikings: Young, highly picked, super athletic, and a Vikings fan while growing up. Plus, the Cardinals are working with a new leadership regime. Add it all together and the Kyler Murray speculation made at least some sense. Nevertheless, the word is that Arizona will be keeping their quarterback, so look for them to be in the running for Marvin Harrison Jr. at the top of the draft.

4) The Top 5 Landing Spots for Mike Zimmer: Yes, things ended poorly, but the man still knows how to coach defense. A head coach opening likely isn’t in the cards, but a defensive coordinator opening seems quite plausible. In the right situation, Zimmer could show that he’s still among the NFL’s preeminent defensive masterminds.

5) Dalvin Cook is on the Move Again: No doubt, things have been disappointing for Cook in 2023. He was cut by the Vikings and then never took off as a Jet. He’ll now get a chance to show that the issue was New York, not him, when he gets worked into the Ravens’ playoff offense.
