Vikings Territory works in partnership with PurplePTSD, similarly doing their utmost to put forth excellent Minnesota Vikings content. As a result, we promote what they have to offer in “The View from VT,” a weekly piece. Take a look at five of their articles from the past week.

The View from VT: January 27th, 2024

1) ESPN Formally Predicts Kirk Cousins’ New Team: At this stage, all we have is speculation. Kirk Cousins has been working through various media outlets, talking about his willingness to be patient as he awaits March. Meanwhile, Minnesota’s management has joined the fun, letting it be known that moving up for a young QB isn’t out of the question. Buckle up.

2) There’s a New Frontrunner for Vikings’ 11th Overall Pick: What are the chances that Minnesota actually stays put in that 11th slot? Pretty small. Nevertheless, there is going to be a pile of analysis and conjecture for who will get picked in that place should the Vikings avoid a trade.

3) Packers Firing Opens the Door for You Know Who: Without question, Mike Zimmer is one of the 32 best defensive coordinators available to NFL teams. Sure, there were some problems with his time as the team’s head coach, but he can construct a defense. Being away from the game for a little while will have served him well. Green Bay’s defense would improve if Zim got the nod.

4) 2023 Vikings Coaching Candidate Fired after One Season: Sometimes, the best decisions are the ones that don’t get made. Now, Sean Desai could have been a success with the Vikings. What’s clear, though, is that things went poorly in Philadelphia. Brian Flores was the one who snagged the DC position in The Gopher State; he exceeded even the most optimistic offseason expectations, so it’s good news for the Vikings’ organization that he’ll be returning.

5) 3 Vikings Who Vanished for Good: Safe to say plenty of change is coming up. Marcus Davenport definitely stands out given his massive upside, but others are on the list, as well. The GM is staring down a very busy few months. What kind of roster overhaul awaits Minnesota from February to April? The 2024 offseason is a massively important one.
