The Oldest Players on the Vikings Roster in 2024

The Minnesota Vikings saw a number of their main positions get a great deal younger this offseason.
However, that doesn’t mean the Vikings roster is completely devoid of veteran talent. Here is a look at the five oldest players on the team as of now.
5. DT Jonathan Bullard (30 Years, 221 Days)

Jonathan Bullard will enter his third season with the Minnesota Vikings this fall, and when he’s been on the field, the defensive lineman has been a very valuable piece of Minnesota’s defense, particularly as a run stopper. Bullard played all 17 games for the Vikings last year, making 14 starts, and putting together 44 tackles, three tackles for loss, two sacks, and a forced fumble.
4. FB C.J. Ham (30 Years, 313 Days)

C.J. Ham, a Duluth native, joined the Vikings as an undrafted free agent in 2017, and he has remained in Minnesota ever since. The fullback position may be a dying breed in the NFL, but Ham has made sure it remains relevant for the Vikings by combining rushing, receiving, and blocking abilities to play multiple roles for the offense.
3. OT David Quessenberry (33 Years, 278 Days)

David Quessenberry has been a journeyman throughout his NFL career, spending time with the Houston Texans, Tennessee Titans, Buffalo Bills, and now Minnesota Vikings over his first seven seasons at the NFL level.
For the most part, Quessenberry has held a reserve role in the NFL, but last season, he made four starts for the Vikings and showed off some versatility by playing both the left and right tackle spots.
2. S Harrison Smith (35 Years, 118 Days)

Harrison Smith has been a staple on the Vikings roster for over a decade. The 2012 first-round pick has been named to the Pro Bowl six times over his career and was a first-team All-Pro selection during the 2017 season. At age-35, Smith is the oldest Vikings defender by nearly five years but still remains a crucial piece of the secondary.
1. LS Andrew DePaola (36 Years, 307 Days)

Andrew DePaola currently holds the honor of being the oldest Vikings player on the roster. The veteran long snapper has spent the past four seasons in Minnesota after playing for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Chicago Bears, and Oakland Raiders earlier in his career.
In each of the past two seasons, DePaola has finally seen his talents be recognized with Pro Bowl selections for his efforts in 2022 and 2023 as well as a first-team All-Pro selection in 2022. Apparently, the Vikings long snapper is aging like fine wine.
