The 2024 Vikings keep breaking records – in a positive way. Last Sunday, they finished a three-week stretch of away games and, for the first time in franchise history, won every game of a sequence like this. It wasn’t pretty, but the job was done. They now have the opposite, playing in Minnesota for the next three games.

As I mentioned a couple of times last month, injuries tend to pile up when a team plays consecutive games away from home, and this week’s injury report reflects that. The Vikings have three players with injury designations, two of whom have been ruled out and another one questionable. The Cardinals are also dealing with a few injuries going to Minnesota.

Head coach Jonathan Gannon didn’t rule out any player for the game, but four players will be questionable. DB Jalen Thompson suffered an ankle injury before their game against the Jets in Week 10 and hasn’t played since. After not practicing at all last week, he was limited every day this week and is limited. RB Emari Demercado played through a shoulder injury last week and was also limited in every practice this week.

First-round rookie DL Darius Robinson hasn’t played since Week 5, dealing with a calf injury. He was also limited every day and looks to be trending in the right direction but it’s unclear if he’ll play. The last one questionable is DB Joey Blunt, who appeared on the injury report on Friday with a hip injury.

OL Jonah Williams was limited on Wednesday and Thursday before being upgraded to a full participant on Friday and will play. Fellow OL Kelvin Beachum appeared on the injury report but just had a rest day on Wednesday.

Minnesota Vikings Injuries

As usual, Kevin O’Connell started his Friday press conference by giving injury updates. He ruled out TE Josh Oliver, who will miss his second consecutive game with an ankle injury, and DB Jay Ward, with an elbow injury. He said that he hopes both players will be able to practice and play next week.

Neither player practiced during this week. Earlier in the week, the team also put LB Ivan Pace on IR with a hamstring injury, and the HC said he should come back this season.

OT Cam Robinson will be questionable with a foot injury suffered during the game against the Bears. He was limited on Wednesday and Thursday before being a full participant on Friday. O’Connell said they would see how his foot is after this last practice and that he hoped Robinson would play.

Besides those three players, five players appeared on this week’s injury report. OLBs Patrick Jones (knee) and Andrew Van Ginkel (thigh) were limited the first two days but practiced without restrictions on Friday. LB Kamu Grugier-Hill (shoulder), DL Jonathan Bullard (toe), and WR Brandon Powell (ankle) were limited just on Wednesday. They are all good to go and won’t carry an injury designation for the game.

Harrison Phillips joined Harrison Smith and Stephon Gilmore with a rest day, with the difference being that Phillips had his one on Wednesday.
