Injury Report Week 12 ‒ Vikings at Bears

The Vikings are looking to finish their three-week stretch away from US Bank Stadium with three wins, which would extend their win streak to four. For the past two weeks, I’ve said that stretches like this can negatively impact the injury report, but until now, the Vikings have dodged it. Last week, no player on the active roster had an injury designation, and just one was ruled out.
The Bears are also fairly healthy, but they had a surprise addition to their injury report on Friday.
Chicago Bears Injuries

Two players were ruled out by head coach Matt Eberflus for the game. OG Ryan Bates suffered a concussion last week, wasn’t cleared from the concussion protocol, and also didn’t practice once this week, while DB Elijah Hicks was also absent every day and is ruled out with an ankle injury.
Eberflus also listed three players as questionable for the game. RB D’Andre Swift (groin) didn’t participate on Wednesday but was upgraded each of the next two days. OL Kiran Amegadjie practiced for the first time since suffering a calf injury in Week 8, but in limited fashion on Friday. Still, he’s listed as questionable, and it’s unlikely for him to play. The surprise addition was WR Keenan Allen, who rolled his ankle during Friday’s practice and is also questionable.
The only other players to pop up on the injury report are OL Teven Jenkins (ankle) – limited on Wednesday and upgraded to full the next two days – and TE Mercedes Lewis with a rest day on Thursday.
Minnesota Vikings Injuries

As I said, the Vikings are quite healthy heading to Chicago. The only player head coach Kevin O’Connell ruled out is TE Josh Oliver. Oliver has been dealing with a wrist injury since the beginning of the season but suited up for every game. He suffered an ankle injury last game and won’t play on Sunday. Nick Muse was activated from IR on Saturday after overcoming his hand fracture and will likely suit up in his place.
The Vikings are also hoping to get two other players back from injury. OLB Gabriel Murphy was a full participant every day this week but was not activated from IR this weekend. He should make his NFL debut next week.

A couple of other players also appeared on the injury report this week. DT Jonathan Bullard (toe) and QB Sam Darnold (foot) were limited on Wednesday and upgraded to full participants the next two days. RB Aaron Jones was a full participant the whole week with a rib injury sustained in the Jaguars game two weeks ago. As per usual, Stephon Gilmore and Harrison Smith had rest days on Friday.
