It wasn’t a great showing, or even a good one, from the Vikings offense on Sunday in Las Vegas.

However, they did just enough at the end to win the game by a score of 3-0, and now, they sit at 7-6 and in firm control of the No. 6 seed in the NFC.

With the weekend behind us, today we will be breaking down the Vikings statistical rankings on offense through Week 14 as a whole, and where individual players stand. Shout out to Pro-Football-ReferencePro Football Focus, and nfeloapp.com for the numbers that went into this article. Stay tuned for the defensive rankings later today as well.

NOTE: Individual PFF Grades are sorted to include players with at least 20% of the league leader’s number of dropbacks, carries, or targets.

Total Offense

  • Points per Game: 20.5 (21st)
  • Total Yards per Game: 341.5 (12th)
  • Plays per Game: 63.9 (T-16th)
  • Yards per Play: 5.3 (13th)

Minnesota mustered just three points on Sunday, and they continue to fall down the league in terms of points per game. They now sit in the bottom-12 at 21st. They also fell out of the top-10 in terms of yards per play following the conclusion of this weekend, but they are progressively moving up in third-down conversion rate.

Passing Offense

  • Completions per Game: 25.2 (T-3rd)
  • Pass Attempts per Game: 37.3 (3rd)

  • EPA/pass: -0.00 (19th)

Rushing Offense

  • Carries per Game: 24.2 (27th)
  • Rushing Yards per Game: 95.2 (27th)
  • Yards per Carry: 3.9 (26th)
  • Rushing First Downs per Game: 4.85 (T-29th)
  • Rushing TDs per Game: 0.38 (T-29th)
  • Fumbles Lost per Game: 1.08 (32nd)
  • Rushing PFF Grade: 73.7 (22nd)
  • Run-Blocking PFF Grade: 66.6 (9th)
  • EPA/run: -0.17 (26th)

A positive that can be said of the Vikings offense in Week 14 was the fact that they didn’t turn the ball over during the game. Even still, they have the most fumbles lost in the league, but the interceptions moves closer to the middle of the pack.

The rushing offense continues to get better as a whole as well. Hopefully, Alexander Mattison is able to return to the field in Week 15 because he has been a strong asset to the offense as of late, and it seems PFF is starting to give Minnesota’s RBs more credit for their effectiveness in the ground game.
