The Minnesota Vikings went into Denver during Week 11 and narrowly lost to the Broncos by a score of 21-20.

With the weekend behind us, today we will be breaking down the Vikings statistical rankings on offense through Week 11 as a whole, and where individual players stand. Shout out to Pro-Football-ReferencePro Football Focus, and nfeloapp.com for the numbers that went into this article. Stay tuned for the defensive rankings later today as well.

NOTE: Individual PFF Grades are sorted to include players with at least 20% of the league leader’s number of dropbacks, carries, or targets. In addition, with many of the teams now having their bye weeks behind them, we’ll be transitioning towards per game numbers for the team statistics.

Sunday certainly wasn’t the greatest night for the Vikings offense. They got off to a strong start in the first half, but Denver’s defense figured out how to slow them down towards the end of the game by constantly applying pressure on Josh Dobbs. Regardless, this group continues to hover around the top 10 in many categories. They just need to figure out how to slow down the turnover issues (again).

Passing Offense

  • Completions per Game: 26.1 (2nd)

  • Rushing TDs per Game: 0.45 (25th)
  • Fumbles Lost per Game: 1.27 (32nd)
  • Rushing PFF Grade: 69.9 (24th)
  • Run-Blocking PFF Grade: 68.2 (6th)
  • EPA/run: -0.17 (24th)

The Vikings have finally started taking a bit of a step back in some of the passing rankings with Dobbs at QB rather than Kirk Cousins, but it has come with an improved rushing attack. Sunday night in Denver was arguably the best game the Vikings have had in the ground game all season as they totaled 178 rushing yards and jumped up in just about every ranking.

The one problem continues to be fumbles. The Vikings had two more fumbles this past weekend, which proved very costly in the game. As a result, Minnesota is once again at the very bottom of the league with the most fumbles of any team.
