The Minnesota Vikings went into Denver on Sunday night hoping to extend their winning streak to six games.

Instead, the Broncos got the better of Minnesota, defeating the Vikings by a narrow margin of 21-20. It was already Minnesota’s 10th game of the season decided by a single possession. In the aftermath of this loss, here is a look at the Vikings snap counts for Week 11.

  • RB Ty Chandler (24)
  • TE Johnny Mundt (14)
  • FB C.J. Ham (11)
  • WR Jalen Nailor (3)
  • WR N’Keal Harry (2)

A big takeaway from this game for the Vikings offense revolved around continued production from Ty Chandler. The second-year RB totaled 24 snaps on Sunday night and recorded 10 carries for 73 yards on the night. He even was trusted with a direct snap on a fake punt which resulted in a massive 32-yard gain.

Another thing to keep an eye on is the wide receiver room. Jalen Nailor played just three snaps with the offense. The 2022 sixth-round pick is a bit buried on the depth chart, and his snaps could go even further down with Justin Jefferson potentially returning in Week 12 or after the bye week.

With Jordan Hicks on IR, Ivan Pace played every single snap with the defense, recording nine tackles and forcing a fumble along the way. The rookie also led the defense with the highest PFF grade of the week at 77.9. Anthony Barr also played 12 snaps with the defense in his first game wearing a Vikings uniform since 2021.

Akayleb Evans also missed this game, so a big question going in was who exactly would take the snaps at cornerback in his place. Both Mekhi Blackmon and Andrew Booth have had productive snaps with the defense this season, but Week 11 proved to be Blackmon’s time to shine. He played 53 of the 55 defensive snaps while Booth didn’t play at all.

The Vikings had a new snap leader for their special teams group in Week 11 as Jay Ward played more than anybody else with the unit. The fourth-round pick has carved out a nice role for himself there, and he was a key part of Chandler’s fake punt run by making a nice block on the sideline.
