The Minnesota Vikings and Chicago Bears concluded the Week 12 slate on Monday night.

Ultimately, the Vikings fell by a narrow margin of 12-10, their sixth one-possession loss of the season in a night where QB Josh Dobbs threw 4 interceptions. With the game now in the rearview mirror, here is a look at the Vikings snap counts from Week 12.

  • LT Christian Darrisaw (55)
  • RG Ed Ingram (55)
  • LG Dalton Risner (55)
  • RT Brian O’Neill (55)
  • C Garrett Bradbury (55)
  • QB Josh Dobbs (55)
  • WR Jordan Addison (53)
  • WR K.J. Osborn (47)
  • TE T.J. Hockenson (44)
  • WR Brandon Powell (36)
  • RB Alexander Mattison (31)
  • TE Josh Oliver (21)
  • RB Ty Chandler (18)
  • FB C.J. Hall (11)
  • TE Johnny Mundt (7)
  • WR Jalen Nailor (6)
  • WR N’Keal Harry (1)

There weren’t a ton of surprises from the Vikings’ allotment of offensive snaps on Monday night. If anyone was hoping for more Ty Chandler in the backfield, though, they came away from the game very disappointed.

Chandler played just 18 snaps with the offense and garnered only five touches throughout the evening. Even worse, it proved to be a tough game for the second-year running back as those touches resulted in just 11 yards.

  • LB Ivan Pace (68)
  • CB Byron Murphy (68)
  • S Josh Metellus (68)
  • S Camryn Bynum (68)
  • S Harrison Smith (68)
  • OLB D.J. Wonnum (67)
  • CB Mekhi Blackmon (65)
  • OLB Danielle Hunter (63)
  • DL Harrison Phillips (48)
  • DL Jonathan Bullard (42)
  • OLB Pat Jones (28)
  • LB Troy Dye (26)
  • DL Sheldon Day (20)
  • S Theo Jackson (17)
  • LB Anthony Barr (13)
  • DL Khyiris Tonga (9)
  • DL Jaquelin Roy (6)
  • CB Andrew Booth (4)

Interestingly, the Vikings opted to only suit up four cornerbacks in this game: Byron Murphy, Andrew Booth, Mekhi Blackmon, and NaJee Thompson. With Thompson being exclusively a special teamer, Brian Flores only had three true defensive CBs at his disposal, and still, Andrew Booth only played four snaps in this game.

As a result, it was again a safety-heavy defense for the Vikings with all three of Camryn Bynum, Josh Metellus, and Harrison Smith playing every defensive snap during this game. Sheldon Day also got 20 snaps on the defensive line in his first game since being signed to the 53-man roster, and he came up with a tackle for loss and a fumble recovery.

  • OLB Andre Carter (10)

  • TE Josh Oliver (7)
  • DL Jaquelin Roy (6)
  • OLB D.J. Wonnum (6)
  • P Ryan Wright (5)
  • DL Khyiris Tonga (5)
  • WR N’Keal Harry (5)
  • CB Byron Murphy (5)
  • S Camryn Bynum (5)
  • LS Andrew DePaola (5)
  • K Greg Joseph (4)
  • CB Andrew Booth (3)
  • RB Ty Chandler (3)
  • WR Brandon Powell (3)
  • LT Christian Darrisaw (2)
  • RG Ed Ingram (2)
  • LG Dalton Risner (2)
  • RT Brian O’Neill (2)
  • IOL Blake Brandel (2)
  • OT David Quessenberry (2)
  • OLB Danielle Hunter (1)

The Vikings have not suited up either of Brian Asamoah or Lewis Cine in recent weeks, but both were active on Monday night. While they didn’t see any time with the defense, both players had a good chunk of the special teams snaps against Chicago. Hopefully, this is a step in the right direction for the second-year players.
