Vikings Will Have a Full RB Room for Week 11

The Minnesota Vikings and Denver Broncos are set to do battle in just about an hour at Mile High.
Heading into the game, Minnesota has been dealing with a number of different injuries that could impact their lineup, particularly on the defensive side of the ball. However, the Vikings will have a full RB room as Alexander Mattison is set to suit up and is not listed as inactive.
Vikings Will Have a Full RB Room for Week 11

Here is the full inactive list for the Vikings for tonight’s Sunday Night Football action:
- S Lewis Cine
- WR Trishton Jackson
- QB Jaren Hall
- CB Akayleb Evans
- LB Brian Asamoah
- TE Nick Muse
- OT Hakeem Adeniji
The Vikings will indeed be short at multiple positions on their defense tonight. Not only was LB Jordan Hicks placed on IR earlier this week, but Brian Asamoah will miss another game, further limiting the depth at linebacker.
Luckily, Minnesota has standout rookie Ivan Pace, who will likely play a good chunk of the snaps against Denver. They also signed Anthony Barr back to the team, who is set to make his first appearance in a Vikings uniform since the 2021 season.

In addition to being without multiple pieces at linebacker, the Vikings will not have Akayleb Evans at the cornerback spot. Evans has started all 10 games for Minnesota this season and has developed a reputation for being one of the hardest hitting CBs in the league.
Without Evans in the lineup, look for rookie Mekhi Blackmon to get a good bit of action in his place. Blackmon has been a very productive player in limited opportunities and recorded his first career interception last weekend against the Saints.
Andrew Booth Jr. could get a fair share of action as well. After a disappointing rookie season, Booth has begun living up to his second-round draft status in 2023, making some important plays in coverage during this winning streak.

And of course, Mattison being off the inactive list means the Vikings head into this game with all three of himself, Ty Chandler, and Kene Nwangwu available to take carries. Because of Mattison’s concussion last weekend, Chandler rattled off 15 carries for 45 yards and his first career NFL touchdown. Nwangwu also got his first two carries of the season.
Kickoff between the Vikings and Broncos is set for 7:20 PM Central.
